A recap of the first annual OCF CEO Summit

It’s been just over a month since OurCrowd First’s CEO Summit, but we are still on a summit high!

“Thank you for the great retreat! It was a very special experience!”
– Dr. Son Preminger, Founder & CEO of Intendu

The summit took place at the beautiful Cramim Resort & Spa in Kibbutz Kiryat Anavim, gathering together OurCrowd First’s portfolio company CEOs for an exclusive two-day event overlooking the majestic Judean Hills.

After signing in and receiving their mandatory OurCrowd First swag, our portfolio CEOs gathered for a series of inspirational, practical, and outright fun workshops and sessions, with great food & wine in between.

General Partners Eduardo Shoval and Yori Nelken shared with our CEOs personal insights from their own experiences as serial entrepreneurs. Yori focused on how to maximize your board of directors and Eduardo zeroed in strategies for next-round fundraising.

We hosted a seasoned attorney from Yigal Arnon who presented the importance of an IP strategy, and also had a hands-on workshop for our CEOs to fine-tune their brand and messaging.

What made our summit truly unforgettable were our two keynote speakers:

Israel Prize laureate Professor Asa Kasher, co-author of the IDF Code of Ethics, discussed the meaning of life of three levels for high tech entrepreneurs.

Avi Reichental, visionary former CEO of 3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) spoke about the importance of business model innovation.

“This is one of those races without the finish line, because the world around us is changing rapidly. You can’t just solve, or design, your business model for today. We have such a convergence of exponential technologies that are creating so many new combinations and possibilities and business models, that who you think your competition is today, is not going to be who your competition is in 2 years, or 3 years, because there’s also tremendous consolidation as a result of the infinite computing power that we have in the cloud, ubiquitous connectivity, and all the implications there.

Don’t stay too long in your one tunnel, because the world around you is shifting all the time and you need to be aware.” – Avi Reichental
